Short Project description:
The project consists of the following activities
The rehabilitation and structural repair of the “Vis” Pier located at the Port of Barcadera. The
principal objective is to restore the structural integrity and operational functionality of the
pier, with specific focus on the inspection, repair, and protective treatment of the supporting
steel infrastructure and associated structural elements.
The project shall include, but is not limited to, the following main activities:
- Mechanical scrapping and abrasive blasting (sandblasting) of all supporting steel beams beneath the pier.
- Repair or full replacement of structurally compromised or excessively corroded steel beams.
- Immediate application of rust-inhibitive primer following sandblasting.
- Application of intermediate and final protective coating.
- Replacement of bolts securing mooring cleats to the deck structure.
